Griha Pravesh Seva is a religious ritual performed before entering a new house for the first time. This puja is considered extremely auspicious in Hindu tradition and its purpose is to free the house from negative energy and to receive the blessings of the gods and goddesses. In this service, rituals like Ganesh Puja, Kalash Sthapana, Vastu Shanti Hawan and Satyanarayan Katha are performed by the Pandit in a systematic manner. There are three types of Griha Pravesh—Apoorva (first entry into a new house), Sapura (re-entry after some time), and Dvandvah (entry after reconstruction of the house). This puja is performed to maintain happiness, peace, prosperity and health in the house. It is especially important to perform this service during the auspicious time, which brings positive energy in the house and brings auspicious results in life.
